By using ChatLock, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

The Service

ChatLock is a privacy-first AI chat application. We provide access to large language models while ensuring your conversations remain private.

Account Requirements

  • You must be at least 16 years old
  • You must provide accurate account information
  • You are responsible for maintaining your account security
  • One account per person (no shared accounts)

Acceptable Use

You agree to use ChatLock for lawful purposes only. You may not use the service to:

  • Generate illegal content
  • Create malware or harmful code
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Impersonate others or spread misinformation
  • Attempt to bypass security measures
  • Reverse engineer or extract our systems
  • Share your account credentials
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Use the API in a manner that exceeds typical or reasonable usage of the tool

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Privacy Commitment

We are committed to your privacy:

  • Chat history is stored locally on your device
  • AI providers do not retain your conversations
  • We use end-to-end encryption
  • We do not sell your data

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
  • Payment is processed through Stripe
  • Prices are in Euros and may include applicable taxes
  • You can cancel anytime from Settings

Intellectual Property

  • ChatLock and its features are owned by Candela Labs
  • You retain ownership of content you create
  • AI-generated outputs are provided for your use, subject to each AI provider's terms

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

  • AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability
  • We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI outputs
  • You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from:

  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your use of the service
  • Content you create or share

Termination

  • You may cancel your account at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • We reserve the right to immediately cancel the contract and terminate your access if we detect abuse of use, including but not limited to:
    • Automated or excessive usage patterns that impact service availability
    • Attempts to circumvent usage limits or security measures
    • Violation of acceptable use policies
    • Fraudulent activity or payment disputes
  • In cases of termination for abuse, refunds may be denied at our discretion
  • Upon termination, your local data remains on your device (we never had access)

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Spain.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
