What Data We Collect

Account Data

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name (optional)
  • Password (stored as a hash, never in plain text)

Usage Data

We collect minimal usage data to operate the service:

  • Login timestamps
  • Subscription status
  • Device type (for sync functionality)

What We Do NOT Collect

  • Chat conversations: Your messages are encrypted and stored locally on your device
  • AI responses: We do not log or store responses from AI models
  • Browsing activity: We do not track your activity outside ChatLock

How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

  • Provide and maintain the ChatLock service
  • Process payments for subscriptions
  • Send important account notifications
  • Respond to support requests

We do not use your data for:

  • Advertising or marketing profiling
  • Selling to third parties

Data Sharing

  • Payment processors: To process subscriptions (Stripe)
